A thread has prompted me to ask if Redundancy Terms should be included in an offer letter?

Are you asking whether redundancy terms should be included within an offer for a new position?

Apart from the absurdity of the situation you would need to be in to take a job with a company that gives you advance warning of what you will get when made redundant, statutory redundancy payments are set by law and are implied in all employment contracts. Enhanced packages are rarely pre-planned, and for a company to have such a plan would bring scrutiny upon the financial standing of a company.
