2hr interview for autoglass job???
Discussion
My best friend has gone through the first stage (a telephone interview) for a job with auto glass, the next stage is a 2 and a half hour interview at the depot.
He's now getting nervous and wondering what they could ask him to do or demonstrate that takes this long to do, so any idea guys??
p.s the job is for a trainee technician.

Firstly, if someone says they want to interview you for 2 and a half hours you ask them 'why?'...
Possibly slightly more helpfully, here's what the internet throws up:

We are going to present a customer service based scenario to you. I want you to consider the facts of the situation and the approach you would take when you arrive to meet the customer. I will then ask you some questions about your approach.
Brief:
Imagine you are a mobile technician working for Autoglass.
You are traveling to a job allocated to you when you are held up in heavy traffic and running 30 minutes behind the estimated time of arrival given to the customer.
The customer has suffered a severe windscreen crack and it would not be legal to drive the vehicle.
The customer was on their way to an important business meeting.
The mobile telephone network signal is poor and the customer cannot be contacted.
What, for you, are the key points about the situation before you reach the customer? (what are the critical issues for the customer / you / the company?)
What are you going to say to the customer when you arrive? (words you would use / other options / what are you trying to achieve?)
If the customer is tense and frustrated at the time delay and wants some compensation, how would you react?
If the customer is still not satisfied, and stressed at the prospect of missing the business meeting, how would you respond to the customer asking you to cut corners or miss out parts of the job?

He should go there feeling chippy and make sure he doesn't crack under the pressure.
I think this is the winner
Yes those questions quoted sound like the ones he was asked on the phone interview. Will post what happens but his next interview isn't until the end of the month I think.
