Currently studying mechanics, what next?

This might be a bit long-winded (sorry)
I'm a 17 year old studying Level one mechanics at NEW College Bromsgrove, although this is a bit boring (after doing most of the basic stuff with my dad for years) it is necessary for me to have some sort of qualification behind me. Next year I plan to carry on to my level two mechanics, which will hopefully be a bit more involving, also a tutor at college (Geoff Maddox, ex kart racer (don't know if anyone's heard of him) runs a Motorsport course, which, although basic, is a recognised qualification. This is run after hours and I have every intention to do it.
My original reason for going into mechanics, was so that I could eventually help run and possibly take over my fathers company which involves all aspects of car repair and servicing, specialising in body work and repairs. Also a few weekends per year he operates as a circuit instructor for one of the UK's largest experience companies, thanks to his previous race experience. Once I passed my test, he got me a job there too, not instructing, just being a run-around basically. Fuelling the cars, (driving supercars at 17 is awesome!) driving the customer transport minibus, even supervising go-kart sessions at one venue. I hope to work my way up the 'ladder' at this company and eventually start instructing, after enough experience and approval from other instructors, as it's been a while since I raced anything!
But my question is, what things are open to me next? Motorsport would be brilliant in my eyes, but all aspects of cars interest me and this is the industry I want to be in.

I've done the level 1, 2 and motorsport courses at bromsgrove over the last 2 years.
Loved everyday of it, especially the tutors. The level 2 is a little more Advance but still rather basic and the motorsport with Geoff is good fun, but not really worth it unless you enjoy it.
I went on and am studying at NC4M at Silverstone studying motorsport mechanics. There is an open evening tomorrow if you want to have a look around.

Only just re-checked the thread so seen your reply. I'd looked at silverstone before, but am looking to get my level two at bromsgrove first as I think it will give me a 'leg up' over some other applicants. What's it like there? What are you looking to do next? Loved everyday of it, especially the tutors. Definetly do the level 2, it is alot more involved and actually has useful tasks.As for silverstone, if you have level 2 that is a big help. Most of the students have little prior knowledge in mechanics so i find myself explaining alot to them.
The course is great. First part of the year is theory based. Then as of feb you start the second and this is completable at the college or in the work place in an apprenticeship.
I am currently looking for jobs.
