Hello

I'm a general assistant at a store after getting back from university. I applied in writing via a letter to the general manager following an internal advertisement stating "we are looking to appoint a relief supervisor to cover absences, please apply in writing".

I'm through for an interview and just wondered what to expect regarding possible questions, considering I'm already working there? Have been for only 3 months but the general manager suggested to me personally to apply. Any particular questions to look out for?

Cheers

I would hazard a guess that the clue may be in the title; you should at least get hold of a copy of the Job Description and then speak to someone who has held that appointment to get a good insight in to the requirements of the role. I would then prepare to be asked about your supervisory skills and how have you employed them in the past to good effect. Then crawl through the JD and ask yourself, if asked, could I confirm I can meet the requirements stated. If not, then it may be tricky. If you can, then go in with a smile and some confidence and tell them why the should appoint you over any other candidate. Good luck!
