Hi there

I posted a question a while back about a new mirror motor for an E46 M3
£150 for a new one and unique to the M3 and M5 was the answer.

The fault with mine was that 3 of the black plastic 'ears' that the mirror glass clamps onto were broken as were 2 of the mounts that hold the motor to the mirror pod - electrically it still worked.

After some ebay scouting and part number checking I found out that the motor casing is the same as that fitted to any BMW Mini - £10 off ebay

5 minutes work to change the motors over and its as good as new again

Cheers Andy

Good detective work, I'll remember that one.

Can you post the part number?

My mirror is a bit wobbly. I tightened the screws but didnt improve. By the looks on the internet its the motor case which those two screws screw into and so may require replacing?
