Hey folks,
After six month of looking, i finally found "my" M5.
Looking for one that was a bit different, this Sepang Bronze number is now in the driveway:

Its a big change from the Renault Avantime that I have been driving for the last three years, and its a big challenge to see if the M5 will also become such a beloved member of the family.

Having never driven a car with so much power, i still haven't hit the M button, waiting for the right quiet road before i unleash the beast!

That's quite a change in power there, be careful! First time I took my z4m out for a proper run after driving my Audi a3 for a couple years the adrenaline hit had me shaking when I got out. Driver training is a really good idea if you've not had any before and a fun way to sample the cars potential safely. Andy Walsh at car limits is excellent. Have fun smile

Congratulations, a lovely choice!

By the way, M-mode is set up according to the driver's preferences, it's not a standard, default thing!

So do go to M-drive and see how it's set up.....you will want DSC on for now!!

I'd recommend S5 (DSC is only off in S6) and normal, rather than sport, on the EDC.

The MDM setting allows a little bit more play when you get to know the car and are more confident with it....it will still save your bacon though!

(sport is rather firm for normal roads, being suited really only to very smooth roads or tracks)

Have fun!

I think the original press car was that colour, otherwise like you never seen that colour on the road

Glad you have found the car of your dreams — hope you enjoy it.

Not keen on the gold paint though. Each to their own I guess

Great colour choice! I wanted one that colour but they are hard to track down.

Now you just need a proper exhaust to liberate the V10's full song.

Great M5... smile Everytime I see a Renault Avantime; I wonder why do people buy this car... Not for the space, because a Renault Espace would be the better choice.. For the looks?

I can recommend a Hayward and Scott. Approx £750 gives the car a lovely howl. smile

Best thing you can do to a V10 M5 IMVHO (whatever the brand of exhaust you choose). Still dawdles along/cruises on the m-way in reasonable peace and quiet, but that wonderful F1-refugee noise is never more than a toe flex away. Tunnels...well you can imagine what they are like.

Much recommended - transforms the car.
