Mine went from this

To this

Intrax Coilovers, Genuine CSL wheels, wheel Spacers all round and a Supersptint Lightweight Race Exhaust.

It was fun, but looking back I wouldn't do it to my daily road car

Even after all these years an e46 m3 in the right colours with csl alloys is a lovely looking thing.

I changed the brake pads and fluid on mine before a trackday for something that would handle the heat a bit better. Other than that, I had the geo adjusted to be a bit more aggressive and to reduce understeer. It was a fine handling car after that and ticked all my boxes. Just wish I'd not sold it. cry

Nothing major but a few bits n bobs so far.

AC Schnitzer coilovers, strut brace, exhaust, pedals and handbrake handle.
Gloss black grills
Stubby aerial
Monochrome badges all round
12mm front 10mm rear spacers
Braided hoses ready to go on...

Oh, and lots of cleaning!

My M3CS has H&R springs installed. Looks all the better for it in my opinion. The rest of the exterior is standard. Why mess with perfection! wink

Not a lot. Had the boot floor/subframe done by BMW, fitted the shorter Clubsport gear knob, facelift rear lights and iPod adapter. Other than that it is exactly as the M division designed it. In black, on 18's it is quite the Q car, which I really like.

Sorry, I've only just seen this. Yes, very easy to do, just find the CSL settings and get a decent garage to adjust as close as possible to those. I've no idea what mine was set to, but the car only understeered if you really provoked for understeer. Other than that it was pretty neutral and a bit of power brought oversteer. smile It was slightly dartier into corners too. As I recall it was all to do with having a bit of toe out at the front (snigger), which means when you turn into a corner the inside front wheel scrubs slightly which drags the car tighter into the corner from that inside front. This is better explained here: http://www.auto-ware.com/setup/toe_hand.htm

If you're looking at starting to get it sideways at over 80 ish then I'd probably say firmer damping is required for better control, but for the road, the geo settings mine had meant it was perfect for me.

This was copied from: http://www.breezemotorsport.com/csl%20geometry.htm

"E46 M3 CSL Geometry

Front Axle

Castor (left/right) = +7 deg 13 mins /+7 deg 12 mins
Toe out on turns (left/right) = -1 deg 48mins / -1 deg 58mins
Camber (left/right) = -1 deg 57mins / -1 deg 53mins
Toe (left/right/total) = +0 deg 01mins / +0 deg 01mins / +0 deg 02mins

Rear Axle

Camber (left/right) = -0 deg 52mins / -0 deg 49mins
Toe (left/right/total) = +0 deg 02mins / +0 deg 04mins / +0 deg 06mins
Geometric Driving Axis = +0 deg 01mins

Geometry above is suitable for for fast road and track. Note lack of rear camber will promote oversteer."
