I currently own an e39 m5 with a fair few modifications, however with an expanding family and little time to use the car how i would like to i have taken the decision to break the car and sell up.
However with wanting to get back into doing a few track days i am thinking along the lines of setting a £5k budget and having an e36, is a 3.2 evo worth the extra over the 3.0ltr?

OR! with the 5k budget in mind would i be better off getting a 328 and spending a bit of money on a 1/2 cage, suspension and brakes?

thanks for your input!

TBH there isnt much inbetween the 3.0 and 3.2, I wouldnt bother with the 328 as its a very lazy engine unless you add the M50 manifold and BBTB. M3 will need some decent suspension upgrades, maybe brakes if tracking unless you find one already fettled with smile

Hi,

More details on the E39 M5 please!

What modifications does it have and are you meaning to just take the modifications off to revert the car to as oem as possible ? or do you mean you are going to break the car for parts and sell the engine, drivetrain, interior, wheels, suspension, brakes etc etc as bits?

Cheers, Dennis!
