So had my new (to me) E92 M3 DCT/EDC for two weeks now and all I can say is that this is quite a machine. Alpine white, with extended black leather inside.

It feels so well put together, and the grin-factor racing through the gears up to 8000+ rpm on small country roads just doesn't get old.... First M-car and I completely get what all the fuss is about. The last BMW i had was a 318i so this is a bit of a step up in power!

Pic below (complete with dead insects on the front after a blast in the country). Thinking of doing two things to it i) exhaust mod to make it slightly louder ii) black grille inserts. Otherwise, she's staying as is!

Very nice, avoid black grills though, not a good look IMHO.

Stunning cloud9 Black grill's a bit played out now? Eisenmann racing exhaust sounds amazing, and a remap might free-up some torque throughout the rev band biggrin

Try the black grills and make your own mind up once on.
Fully reversible so no harm done.

Can always sell on if you don't like.

Nice looking M3 either way.

All down to personal taste with regard this but I personally think black grilles will look good on this particular model and that from someone who is not normally a fan of mods no matter how minor. I think this subtle change will contrast the Alpine white body colour and the black roof nicely.

The black grilles do not suit all colours but IMHO they would compliment on this occasion and as someone has already said it is not an expensive or difficult mod to change should you not like it.

Gets my vote

Lovely motor OP, I am not a fan of black grills either but it wouldn't be right if we all like the same thing, I can't believe how many white M3's there are, mines white & I saw two white M3's on Saturday aswell...common as muck! hehe

Looks really nice OP welcome to the "M" Club!

I did my exhaust - thread below and also put on the Black Performance Edition Front, Side Grilles and Bonnet Vents, looks great on a white car and ties in nicely with my Hi Gloss shadow line IMO. The exhaust mod is a must, it really lets the sound of the V8 come out to play!

Mine wouldn't look right with silver grills the shadow chrome ones suit it perfectly plus it came form the factory like that.

Depends on the paint on whether you should choose black or silver.

Thanks guys... Looking forward to bringing her to one of the Pistonhead SS events soon.

Out of interest, what do they run on top end....? 180mph? Already planning ahead for a trip out to the continent next year, and the Autobahn will definately feature. Now abt that limiter... wink
