Thank you Ady702, there are some great shots there the Tanzanite blue looks amazing with the light interior, not quite sure if it would have the same effect with a black interior?
Personally I like either a light interior and dark exterior or vice versa and I have to have a black interior with my particular order, got some serious thinking to do.

I am with you on the colour combo. Both colours are quite rare, tanzanite more so.

Is this the LE 500 cab deal? I faced the same dilemma, this was my thought process:

Tanzanite Blue: Nice enough colour, is it really an M3 colour though? Would work with a light interior.
Carbon Black: Looks great when clean (usually for 5 minutes after washing)
Mineral White: It seems like everyone has a white BMW these days. Also too extrovert for me.
Red: No, don't really like red.
Stratus Grey: This is the worst grey BMW do in my opinion. They should call it Old Man Grey.
Santorini Blue: A great colour on someone elses car. Way too extrovert for me!

The red leather would work with black, white or grey paint. BUT remember it's extended Novillo so the underside of the dash and the centre console etc would also be red. Too much IMO.

So, I went for Carbon Black, Black leather. It will look great with the blacked out chrome, black shadowline and black wheels. Just like this:

Yes it's the LE500.I take your points and that last picture does look good.I had Carbon Black on my E46 M3 when it was just a standard colour and it does look amazing, as it looks different depending on the light. Its really difficult to judge from photographs, I will need to start having a tour round some BMW dealerships to see if I can see some of the colours in person.

I do. LE500

It looks different in different lights. Goes from black blue to purple blue and some in between. It's got a glitter type paint. Clearly not same as TVR reflex paint, but similar.

Photos don't do it justice. If you are anywhere near cambridge you can come and have a look. I will post some photos at the weekend.

Black leather with blue stitching if you are curious

Mwp, unfortunately I am in the North East, but I would love to see some photographs, even though I know to see the true nature of the colour you would have to see it in person. The black interior with the blue stitching should go very well.

MWP, thank you, your car looks fantastic, one of the best colour combinations I have seen.Sadly for me at the present time LE 500 orders are not spec changeable , you have to cancel your existing order and place a new one, hopefully BMW may have a change of heart once the order books are closed.

Aparently they are still open for the convertible, but there are very few build slots left.

^ Have to admit, the links to the F30 site I thought that blue colour looked crap, but I have to echo that comment, your paint is stunning in that Flikr set!
