E46 M3 Conv

Already done a lot of research on the coupe but is there anything specific about the hood mechanism to look out for on the conv? Other than that same as the coupe, including the rear floor problem, or not?

I am looking to spend up to £15K (although hopefully a but less) so looks like that should get me a good unmolested example

As always any advice/opinions etc appreciated

Go on condition, history
Full history with all the invoices
For your budget you can find a nice low owner low miles one
Ring up BMW UK with chassis number and check service history, mileage, dates with all the Dealers the vehicle has visited
You want to make sure 1200 mile service is done
Get PPI by BMW Dealer before u buy for peace of mind or a BMW Specialist
You can get a really really nice E46 M3 for your budget. If you don't mind Coupe also consider CS.
Gearbox .... Manual/SMGII both great to drive. Though if SMGII goes wrong will cost £3-4k unless u got BMW Insured Warranty
Rear boot floor cracks get checked

Rear coil springs and rear wishbones
Some have VANOS problems
Mine had VANOS replaced by BMW Dealer at 31k
