One month in with the F10.....

Caught two fkers on my driveway at 3am, checking out my garage.

They took off on my "May I help you?" enquiry and were picked up by their lookout in a white van.

Hate these fkers with a passion.....they need to die!!

It is a sad state of affairs when you have to worry about whether your car will there when you wake up!

How did you catch them at 3am? What were you doing up..!

I feel your anguish op, after suffering a similar experience with my E90 M3 (except I foolishly forgot to lock it and found them inside my car) only two weeks into ownership

It really does make you wonder if/when the car will be targeted again, it's a horrible feeling

Had this, its rubbish

May I make a suggestion, if the driveway isn't brightly lit, make sure it is with some sort sensor light, the brighter the better. most crims hate being illuminated.

An alarm for the garage would be a good idea too (if you don't already have one).

A pull up metal bollard on the driveway if possible is always a good deterrent along with bright lights.

I hate thieving scum like this.

I'm a light sleeper and always have the windows open!

These scumbags like to operate in the early hours of Monday morning when it's really quiet out and about.

The garage is alarmed and well illuminated.

I will block the drive with a couple of other cars to hinder them and make them think twice.

They could steam my house I suppose, battering down doors, setting alarms off, hoping to get in, extract the keys and then escape before the cops arrive.....I know this all too well.

Would take a lot of balls to do this, not easy to do, but it does happen.

Cops know of them and in fact just missed them last night.

They looked Eastern European, but of course that's only an impression I got!!

Thanks Contigo, it's been a bad year!

We live in a lovely area too, but I guess that's what attracts the scum.

I worry about facing these characters in the act....about what they might do to me and what I might do to them.

It would not end well for sure.

Very easy excape to the continent then, not good, I would inform the police of your experience to "get it on record", this could help a lot if an attempt or the car is acually stolen.

I've had a few people sniff around my skyline in the past. Probably not as high profile and organised as targeting the more high end cars, but still a bh none the less.

I'm in Rayleigh now, but was from hainault and mooched around buckhurst hill, loughton etc and came across it there.

Hope your awareness puts them off coming back mate

We need to form a PH Posse and hunt these fkers down.

This is not completely tongue in cheek!!

Makes me very angry.

We had some people doing the rounds the other day knocking on doors for window cleaning and misses answered the door and took message when I came down it was very obvious they were not and only went to selected houses (my windows ain't dirty lol)

I checked and there was about 7 guys in total snooping around I guess checking things out and as I had the m5 on the drive looked a good place.

Luckily as they were just over the road we released the hounds and they noticed a 55kg American Akita and 35kg Tibetan mastiff at the window barking which is the best alarm we have and as I went out to check my drive they all left!

It does worry me have a nice car these days as like you jazzer if you catch people in the act it ain't going to end well either way.

Maybe a new pistonheads protected stricker is needed smile

Lockable posts is a good idea that ironically I have never thought about. Although at night I box the m5 in with my lime green civic lol
