+60bhp seems to be a easy remap. only a few companies doing them just now. DMS and BWchiptune. Other than that not sure who else in the uk. Manhart in Germany get real good feed back.
+1I'm not sure if evolve does F10 M5
yeah 60bhp should be easy with just remap thanks to those turbos
together with some light mods you'd probably achieve 650bhp easily
Whats peoples views on the warranty implication with these 'tunes'.
I can;t actually believe I'm asking this as I hate to be the voice of sensibility and I've have historically often been one to modify my cars! Also, the potential gains vs cost are very appealing on M5/6's.
However, I'm told that BMW are getting ever hotter on modifications and will be able to tell when an ECU modification has been done, voiding the warranty in the process. I imagine they would definitely look for it in the event of a larger failure, especially if engine or transmission related.
I don't fancy having such an expensive/complicated car with a voided warranty and whilst you could argue that they need to prove that the modification caused a component to fail, is this something you'd really want to enter into?

BMW can spot a remap on new cars within minutes now, if you had an engine or transmission failure there is no doubt in my mind they will push back on warranty claims,
You'd have to be totally insane to goto BWChiptune - it would be like having PCWorld work on a supercomputer.
I'd wait for Evolve- I'm sure they will have M5 options soon.
Also BMW are releasing the Akra exhaust as the M Performance Exhaust for the M5 - might be worth waiting a little to see what its like.
Neil.

Slightly suspicious of the calibration of the DMS rolling road but regardless of the outright numbers, the gain is very impressive.

Friend of mine put a totally stock F10 on a Mustang dyno - made 550 at the rear wheels... Same dyno, but a V10 M6 made 404 at the rear wheels, which is about par for a well running V10 - so it seems true that the F10 makes significantly more power than advertised out of the box...http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8058...
