Mondial Warranty
Discussion
Your Mondial Insured Warranty is NOT invalidated by having your warrantied vehicle serviced by an Independent Specialist (i.e.not BMW).
Rang Mondial last week and asked the question.
Their response was immediate and without hesitation...so I have no reason to disbelieve them (!)
I only post this because I've been reading quite a few recent posts that indicate owners think their cars need servicing by BMW to maintain warranty.
Any others have any more knowledge on this?

Yes you are correct, the t's & c's changed a while ago, but warranty work still has to be carried out by a dealer and you may find that a dealer that has been servicing and maintaining your car may be more willing to go to bat for you if they've been maintaining the car rather than just being used for warranty work, especially in the case of marginal claims.
Correct.
Although worth echoing a point made earlier, if you take you business to an indy rather than you local dealer they are much less likely to argue your case for warranty work for those questionable items.
Also as an aside, if I were looking for a used M5 I would only want a fully stamped BMW service book. I struggle to believe that an indie (no matter how good they are) have the capital to invest in all the computerised stuff that an M5 needs for proper looking after.
