How much would you think a'98 S50 M Coupe with sub 30k miles be?

Ive been offered the chance but the owner will not reveal their hand and want me to make an offer.

What would you say one like this would be worth in a private sale?

Many thanks

Hard to value these cars. Depends very much on condition and what your willing to pay.. I saw a silver 02 plate earlier this week. Drove up behind me and passed me on a B road. Had my honda s2000 with the roof down as i was cruising home. Lovely sight. Pity I didn't have my Z4m coupe. Love em both :-)

Was that a joke? I would say about £15,000 - £17,000

These cars are not badged 1 series one abees. Sorry to all those 135 1M owners. It's the real deal. Honestly new isn't necessarily better. All these one series cars look the same. You could be driving a 118 and nobody would know the difference.. They do nothing for me!!

Kenz I can see where you re coming from on the 1 series comment but in a strange way that was part of the allure when I had a 135i. Took the badges off and fitted a JB4. My god it was hyper quick when needed but very much off the radar when you wanted it to be.

Only issue was that it had little feedback and no LSD.

Re the price then 25 - 30k is waaaaaay too much imho. Although I don't know the price of what it should be 25-30k for an S50 is beyond the likes of Hexagon.

I would have guessed/hoped for 16-17k but who knows. I in discussion with the owner so I'll let you know what happens

They would! You seen how they single handedly cornered the market on Z8s and massaged the price up cynically?

Clever, but not nice.

That sounds about right to me, having looked seriously at them a few weeks back.

Agreed the S54 commands higher prices. I would be tempted to low ball £11-£12k and then work up...........................

The Pheonix Yellow one at Hexagon was up for £17k last year but in the end i opted for a Z4M roadster. The difference in prices suggests that some of the higher priced cars i.e. the ones at Hexagon are over-priced.

Lovely cars though smile

I have a 2000 m coupe owned for 12 years full BMW history, 84k, Escorial blue all options, I'm seriously thinking of putting it up for sale at £22000, there becoming very rare and will soon be non existent.

Definetly collectors cars now.

I know someone who bought a black S54 a few weeks ago - it was advertised near £13k and he walked away with it for much MUCH less.

I am a massive fan of the Z3M Coupes - I had one myself for 2 years but people need to be a bit realistic on what they are worth.

There are have been several for sale in the classifieds for ages.

But, I hope people can prove me wrong by getting £20k+ for their examples a la Hexagon but I doubt it.

Interested to know what the details of the car were.
