Newbie Z4M Coupe and lovin it!
Discussion
First M Power car I have driven, let alone owned, and I have to say I am absolutely loving it.
Having been out of sports car ownership for the last three years, the time had come to take the plunge.
As a fan of the raw driving experience provided by TVR's I was struggling to find something that ticked the box. Purely by chance I had a test drive in a Z4MC and was intrigued enough to delve a bit deeper.
I then went for a test drive in the car I now own, and was hooked. The guy who owned it took me out for a proper test drive to show me what the car was capable of, and that was enough for me to get my cheque book out. Unusual but very effective sales technique.
Since picking the car up, it may be that my memory has faded of what driving a TVR was like, but this feels pretty damn close.
It's certainly making me want to get up early and go for a drive in the morning, which the cars I have owned over the last few years have certainly not managed.

Lovely motor
they are similar to a TVR in many ways it has a lively rearend & awesome powerplant & I think they look the business too, I just don't think you get the same sense of occasion or noise that you get from a TVR but you do get thrills & that's the main thing.
Plus the Zed will always start when you need it to, enjoy your new beast.

That'll be one big reason I'm not driving a Tuscan. Awesome Power/Image/Occasion. But would it start on that perfect, still, Sun just lighting the horizon, Sunday Morning, at 5am. When all I want to do is jump in and drive it??

Love My Zed to bits.

They are different cars for different jobs I reckon & I would certainly still be in a TVR if you could have that confidence in them but as allrounders the M cars are very hard to beat.
Lovely looking Zed you have there. Enjoy it, I'm sure you will.
I have had mine since the beginning of May and I love driving it just as much as the day I picked it up. I added an AFE intake onto mine and the noise now is incredible. Only problem is, I seem to be going through quite a lot more petrol now! Quite possibly down to the constant dropping of gears and listening to the M's aural beauty.

I think you may be right Damien. Not sure how long you owned it, but it's in great condition.
I think a survey should be done where new owners register their initial best bits about their new car.
For the moment I love the look of the rear arches out of the wing mirrors, and I do love the noise it makes (and that's from an ex TVR owner). Be interesting to see how things develop.....

Assuming it is my old one (reg ending in WT) I had it for just under 3 years until May this year. I saw it was for sale again, I was a bit surprised it was being sold on again so soon.
I loved the car, I only sold it as I wanted back seats for my 2 boys. The engine was just magnificent and although the ride was hard I didn't mind that so much. The only thing I never really gelled with was the gear change from 1st to 2nd.
I hope you continue to enjoy it as much as I did!

Here's the best bits on mine, BISHY you could do with posting a couple of better pics of yours mate ,

Damn that looks fine. I love the way the shadow line emphasises the sculptured flank of the car, especially in Silver.

What difference have you found with the Carbon Intake? Currently I am trying to resolve a few "early days" niggles, and once they are done I may look at some upgrades.
Do you track your car, or is it just for the road?
Due to rubbish weather since picking up the car the photos bit thin on the ground but I do like this angle.

Hi mate, The carbon intake just sounds awesome (nearly as good as a csl I had a few years back) I don't think it makes much difference to power as for the track it will be going on but I have only had the car a month so have not had the time as yet although I have had a M coupe in the past (black with black wheels) That one did a few track days and went round the ring,
Here's pac of my old one,
