What servicing costs might I be looking at on a 2005/2006 M6 with 60k on the clock and with a supposedly FSH
i.e. anything "must do" that is so expensive the car is then sold on ?? or are they pretty much bulletproof..

Cheers

Good examples of these are few and far between. A few nice ones have popped onto the classifieds in the last week or so. Spend a little extra and find a car that has warranty and has been well serviced. You won't go far wrong if you tick those 2 boxes.

Buy one with warranty.

If it's at 60k you might be looking at new clutch/flywheel soon.
See if it's on 2nd clutch.

In terms of service, it's on iDrive as others mentioned.
Check the brakes if they're rusted.

Diff oil change and gearbox oil change gets my vote. Belts would be only if required or you are throwing your money away. Coolant change might be wise as well along with a fuel filter. Air filters would also get my vote.

Over and above that it's just a chase of checking tyres and discs as these (along with the clutch) are the largest cost of the M5 and M6.

Dave, it's John here.
I actually didn't hear anything about belt for E60/E63 S85 V10s, especially at 60k
otherwise i agree with all the others.

Do you mean did BMW update the flywheel and clutch for newer models?
The only difference is SMG software, the flywheels and clutch used in 2005 models (Pre-LCI) are the same as 2010 models(LCI).

Been used - may not be a bad thing if it's sound etc.

Is the price in line with mileage?

Great to see these cars with that kind of mileage. They are meant to be used.

For me, im not sure about the price. There was an indy listed coupe with 120k miles up for around 13K a few months back.
