E92 M3 Intermittent Audio...?!

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of the following problem... my audio intermittently stops working in my E92 M3. The computer, iDrive, Radio etc all still work but with no sound and I was wondering if anyone knew of this issue? It doesn't cut out it simply doesn't work from ignition so for example I drove home from work with the radio/mp3 on but then when I jumped into the car later tonight the audio didn't work. It comes and goes every now and again and I had put it down to Gremlins but it is now occurring regularly over the last few days.

I have the extended BMW comprehensive warranty cover but am reluctant to take it to the dealership to have to fork out the ridiculous investigation fee if the problem isn't covered...

On a side note after a nice motorist drove into my drivers side wing mirror and departed at speed does anyone know of somewhere to get a cheap wing mirror cover from? Or possibly the entire device if I can't get it to run true again as it currently rubs when I collapse it...

I had issues with my old X5 with the radio & I just disconnected the battery for a while & all was well after that so it's maybe worth a try, good luck regards the wing mirror though as I got a quote from bmw just for the wing mirror glass & they wanted £300! Crazy money I thought but maybe the housing is cheaper.
