How Long.....

Just had the nod from the dealer to say that my F10 M5 has been built and on its way to the port. Can anyone comment on how long it normally takes to get to the dealers??

About a week. Then your dealer has to get it ready, so I'd say a week and a half to two weeks.

What he said;) I was informed by my dealer when the car had completed production & was ready for 'shipping'. Eight days later it was at the dealers being prepared & i collected it 3 days later so 10-14 days from the end of production to collection by me. That said it only took 5 weeks exactly from order to collection which for a non build slot vehicle i thought was mighty impressive.

Exactly the same dates as mine.

I understand it's due to be built early November.

So what was your expected date? Did you see a PDF of details printed off the computer?
In week 41 mine was in paint, week 42 build (this week) and week 43 it states expected. I take this as expected completion? I thought / wished that was at the dealership but ive been advised week 45. enjoy !

I put the order in mid-August, time has been dragging on. He's being a bit cagey on exact delivery date. That’s why I wanted to get some peoples experiences on delivery times. I have a mileage cap for trade in so treading carefully at the moment.

Will get some pics up after its been detailed, not letting the dealer touch it other than the interior prep.

There is a sad truth in this. I would seriously recommend asking your dealer not to touch the car when it arrives and instead, send in your own cleaner - whoever that may be - to do a protection detail on the car.
