Hello there forum goers,

I need a bit of help, I'm having repetitive issues with my BMW 1M which BMW Bolton seem incapable of fixing. I want to try another Dealer. Can anyone recommend a BMW Dealer in either the Northwest or South Midlands? My car is being ruined by poor after service so any help is greatly appreciated!!!

ATB89.

In neither of those areas, but Elms Cambridge have a very good rep with CSL's so maybe worth a shot.

Take it to Paul Travers, Master Techician at Specialist Cars, Stevenage. He looks after all our 1Ms down here and he is a true M enthusiast as well.

Unfortunately two issues, the first is a new issue, steering wheel wobble at motorway speeds and the second which is a recurring issue which is the offside rear suspension sitting at a noticably lower height than the near side rear.

Book yourself in at Elms Cambridge.

Well worth the trip if you have a problem which others can't sort or even discover. Elms have great technicians and a real decent way of treating people at the Service desk.

CSL owners travel from NW and SW to get service there.

+1

He is an excellent person to talk through all your issues with. Plus he's a proper petrol head and races his own track prepared bmw in the kuhmo cup.

Top bloke too.

Nearest dealer in the north west might be Lloyd in Colne they are an M specialist about 25 miles from Bolton.

Another vote for Elms Cambridge for the CSL, even though it is 190 mile round trip as they ARE the place to take a CSL / any M car!

I use Benhams Wolverhampton for the other BM but are also supposed to be very good with M cars!

Interesting thread, I live a mile away and won't go near Elms!

Several items they told me wouldn't be covered under warranty, yet other dealers didn't have a problem.....

My business partner took his CSL to them, they were superb.
Two months later I took my non-M car to them and they were utterly useless. The car went back to them twice (each time a 200 mile round trip)
One fault still hasn't been rectified and I ain't going back there, nice loan car or not.
Not impressed.
