The rear passenger side of my car has started to make a repeating SHHH noise related to wheel speed. It gets worse when turning right and I can silence it when turning left.

Is this brakes which have recently been changed or is it likely to be diff related?

I've got a 120 mile drive home tomorrow :-/

Might be the hand brake..... Try pulling it up lightly while moving a few times.

If not check to see if the discs are getting hot after a short drive as it may be early signs of a sticking calliper smile

I checked for excessive heat on that side when I stopped but it was fine.

I'll give the handbrake a try in the morning

I had rear passenger strut fail in mine. Could be that. Took BMW 4 weeks to source a replacement. Luckily I got a courtesy car.
Only that and a battery I've had to replace since 6 months old..

If it's a similar setup to an e46 m3 at the back it may be the diff. Mine was doing something similar until I changed the diff oil. If that is the case make sure tuts the good bm stuff with the friction modifier.

Perhaps the dust shield on the rear passenger side was bent out of tolerance by the recent brake job and is touching the brake disc. (bent by the wheel slipping during its reinstallation)
