M6 Brake Pads (E63)
Discussion
So my front brake pads are nearly ready to be changed.
BMW official pads are looking like around £250, whereas cheaper alternatives are coming in as low as £60, quite a big difference.
What are peoples views on cheaper alternatives? I'm assuming it wont have any effect on the mondial warranty as they aren't covered anyway?

They are the same brake pad as the 535D and also have the same brake pad wear sensor as the 535D too.
Textar is as good as OEM if not the same thing in a different box.
Avoid Mintex, APEC or other similar brands. They are 'premium' for 2.0 Tdi etc models but not upto standard for big engined nose heavy cars.
I've also found Breck (Lumag) to be better quality or as good as OEM.
Look on Ocean BMW's Ebay website. They are usually very competitive. If your dealer quotes you silly prices tell them that an official BMW dealer is cheaper online and watch them match it in a heartbeat. Their margins are massive so haggle hard.
