M5 radio driving me mad
Discussion
The radio in my F10 M5 seems to be playing up. My favourite channel which used to be fine no longer transmits on FM so I have to listen to it on DAB. problem is it always cutting out sometimes for 5 minutes at a time and the comes back on for a bit then disappears again. I guess it's going out of reception range but anyone else experience this?
Also after the first break in service when does the next one come up. When I turn on the ignition it says service due since 8000miles. Does this sound about right?

Not your car, it's DAB
My wife's E70 is fine, the 335i I've just traded (against a new F10 M5 due shortly) was s
t and just didn't work.
If you live in London it tends to be better, but currently very hit and miss.
It is the car, or rather, the crappy aerial they use that just isn't up to it. My wife's E70 is fine, the 335i I've just traded (against a new F10 M5 due shortly) was s

In my wifes ML we have DAB, and in the end we bought a roof mount aerial, and since then I have been all over the UK and only lost signal for a few seconds, that was the road off the A74 as you cut up to Edinburgh, just before Biggar there is a dip and it lost signal there for a few seconds.
But all over the south west, norfolk etc. it has been perfect.
I don't know what the answer is but maybe look at a better roof aerial?
I bought the Kenetic DRA-6003, but they do a sharkfin one with gps and gsm etc. built in as well.
Not sure if BMW use the rear window heater element or shark fin for dab, if it is the rear window then it will be rubbish.
