This is a Nov 1986 M3, all were LHD from the factory.

You need to email BMW heritage with the engine number that is in the car now and they will confirm whether it is the original engine for that chassis.

They won't give out the engine numbers for specific chassis numbers any more.

Try bmw classic in a google search, it's a parts ordering system.

Give them the details, if they can't help they will advise you who can.

What are the plans for the car, track or road? Be aware that RHD vs LHD makes a difference in price to a collector if that's the intention.

Try this op

You might want to contact Birds in Uxbridge too as they were possibly the ones who carried out the conversion back in the day, if that is when it was done. Either way they should be able to tell you if it's one of 'their' cars or not.

I used to own a white e30 m3. E reg I think. It was a RHD Hartge conversion. It was about 20 years ago. It had black leather. I seem to remember it having red carpet too but that might be wrong

It was reputably the 1st RHd hartge conversion.

It had seen quite a lot of action even back then and had a nasty hairline crack in the diff housing. Its bodywork had been repaired quite a few times too.

I seem to remember the rocker cover had been hand painted with the M tri colours. Sorry but thats all I can offer. cant be many white RHD hartge conversions
