Got my renewal quote today, it had gone up from 500 to 570 quid. Still good value, but I thought I should have a look on a comparison website..... Amazed at the range of quotes..... Worst was 3850!!!!! Best was 282.....

I knew they'd be a range, but never guessed it'd be that wide.

It always goes up with renewals.

I cancel and start a fresh new quote with the same insurer and it comes back down again.

Don't think you will get much better than £282.

The wife is paying around that.

If values keep holding the way they are though, I wonder if those quotes truly give adequate cover.

I bet 282 was with Tesco's? They are insanely cheap on M5's.

Just call your renewal one up and tell them you found it cheaper and they usually end up beating it, works every time for me. Same goes for all insurance, did my house one last week with Legal and Gen.

Try £2037 for a C63 AMG! That's what I got quoted today on a comparison website.

Time to shop around me thinks!

Have you tried DL?

They don't seem to be a competitive these days but worth a try.

I find that surprising as in the past eSure never wanted to quote for performance vehicles. There market was safe drivers in sensible cars, hence the premiums for that market were competitive.

Remember the Michael Winner "Calm down dear...." adverts? They've been around for a while.

Wasn't the irony that they wouldn't actually insure celebrities anyway?

I had my first ever crash this year and lost a couple of years no claims... premium only went up by £28! Score.
