E46 Angel eyes

I've got a 2002 E46 M3. Came to me with angel eyes fitted but they were two different kits. I have fitted new ones but again today noticed one was out upon checking the connector coming from the inverter to the lights has melted. This is the third time this has happened. It's not my wiring skills as the lights come with these connectors fitted. When I say melted I mean that when I popped the bonnet I could see an orange glow where the bare wire is burning and melting the plug. I don't really want to run around with this potential fire hazard under my bonnet.
Can anyone recommend a decent set of these I can buy????? I do love how they look but if they are going to continue to do this then I am just going to give up.
