M135i Autobox Noise

So, last night I was driving and I briefly had the window down. I'd only been driving for about 5 minutes so it would still be relatively cold, and I heard what could only be described as a mechanical noise when the autobox was upshifting (It wasn't like a grinding or a cunching noise). I notice whatever it is doesn't happen on a downshift.

I got back to the car, started it up and again there was this mechanical noise, I had the window down again after about half an hour of driving and it was gone. The car drives fine, and I've tried in manual mode when the car is cold, and there's no noise on either the upshift or downshift.

Have any other owners experienced this?

Might be the exhaust valve closing when you change up as it will close with lower revs?

That could be a shout. Here's hoping its nowt serious.

I spoke to someone at my local dealer this morning, so the car is going in next Tuesday. Interesting to see what they come back with...

Could it be you can just hear the gearbox changing?

I sure can on my M3, totally different box though.
