Just had my car serviced for the second time excluding the running in service and they normally come in around 15000 intervals. This one was done at 31500miles (ish). The dealer has reset the service counter but done it at 6000 this time. Does this sound right? Seems a bit weird to me.

Sounds odd to me, I had running in service at 1200, and just had first proper service at 16.5k. Saying another 18k until next service now. Hope it helps, sounds like one was missed or something.

Just checked mine in the idrive, it's going in for an oil service on Thursday at 32k, the idrive also shows that a vehicle check is due in another 5000 miles.

So I guess that is what you're referring to?

Yep. Bugger another one due. Last one was £900 with the rear axle oil change.

Have you checked the idrive service menu?

It could be something else like brake pads.

@ R1, thank god I got the service pack thrown in then! Was the diff oil a scheduled change?

Nope it's a vehicle check as per the idrive, pads are shown separately.

I'll have a nosey at the idrive.

Axle oil was scheduled according to the dealer.
