I've had a little look around the web/forums for some insight into the expected servicing costs for my 2004 E46 M3 but I can't see anything particlarly recent or comprehensive.

I've called a local BMW dealer, Dick Lovett (snigger) of Hungerford (near A34/M4 junction), and they've quoted the following prices:

Oil service - £169 (inc. VAT)
Insp 1 - £669 (inc. VAT)
Insp 2 - £899 (inc. VAT)

Not sure if this includes a courtesy car - Sorry, forgot to ask!

Would be interesting to see what other garages (Indy and maindealer) are charging.

I got an inspection 2 (with valve clearances) for just over £500 inc at a well respected Bosch indi.

No point paying main dealer prices on these now.

Would be worth having a look over at M3Cutters if you haven't done so already. Lots of useful info regarding servicing/pricing over there...

just had inspection 2 done at styners Solihull ,899 for the service and that included a courtesy car . Went the main dealer route because it was a auc car 10 months ago, and im planning on keeping the warranty going and couldn't get a answer on whether it would affect me keeping the warranty going if I went the specialist route for the service.
