What dealer incentives to expect?
Discussion
Having driven the M4 yesterday I'm seriously considering getting an M3 instead of a GTR. I know it's purly speculation right now but anyone have a rough idea on what to expect in terms of dealer/bmw incentives for a new M3?
Does anyone remember what was offered when the E9X series was launched? In my opinion I'd imagine any incentive will be a year after release roughly, I could possibly get the GTR and keep till the incentives come out and then change at that point.
On a side note, there isn't many options to tick but any that people think will affect re-sale and a "must have"?

Yup had a play online on building my own. If/when I get one i'd be DCT without a doubt never even considered a manual. Only options I ticked was the HK sound system, Heads up display (I agree this should have been standard) and the sliding armrest.
5% is pretty good though, may play the BMW showrooms off each other, have 3 within a 30 min driving distance from home, one which brought my previous E93 M3 off me.
Seeing the other thread regarding the car, £690 pcm is still quite high I think considering the F10 M5's could be done for £500 pcm with similar customer deposit without including the dealer contribution so looking at it from the angle of money leaving my bank.

Where can I get a brand new F10 M5 for £500 PCM with £5/6k deposit???
I'll go and order one tomorrow. Are we talking personal and not business?

So that's really £648 per month then, and not £500 per month!
Kind of annoys me when people throw around the details of supposed "deals" when there is no way that anyone could ever buy an F10 M5 for £500 a month.
I don't think the dealers will start to offer incentives until at least June 2015 personally. Although they may see how successful take-up is for the M3/4. Almost every review mentions that it sounds pretty boring, which is not what people want in an M car. If this hurts sales then they may have to offer incentives to shift them.
One thing that puts me off 'over-spending' on one now and being one of the early adopters, is that I know I'd rather have the LCI / Comp pack one when it comes out.
Also, I kind of grudge paying the same for a £60k car as I would pay for a £73k M5... How on earth do BMW justify this?

As stated the M5's were on a deal like what I said about 8/9 months ago, they aren't around anymore though.. So I wasn't giving false facts just hoping BMW do something similar with the new M3/M4's
If I found a deal, a link would be posted for its source or atleast contact details for someone/company

Maybe with the economy picking up we aren't going to see such mental rates again?
Doubt it - interest rates are going up shortly by most measures and house prices are about to fall off a cliff particularly in the SE as a result. I think we'll start to see deals this side of Christmas. Autoebid are offering about 5% off so could use that as a starting point in negotiations?spunko2010 said:

You're really well informed. Are you sure of your predictions ?How much would you say "fall off a cliff" is ? 5% ? 10% ? 20% ? 50%?
Do you think rates are going to go up suddenly by a lot or quite progressively ?

according to doomongers, we will be back to late 2008 with the mega deals available then......March 2009 we bought a good spec main dealer new M3 saloon in Silverstone for £40k..... rrp what top £50s, more than by luck than good judgement I would add.....

sorry crystal ball isn't working tonight. In all seriousness though I think they'll go up by 1-2% in the next year and for a lot of people this will be a huge hit... Whether it'll affect the dealer contribution of a new M4 I cannot tell but here's hoping.
Where's that paddle of rebuke when you need it
