To say I'm excited is an understatement, after a few bmw's like 330d 330i and 335i I can't wait to take delivery pic below after my test drive but more will follow

ah so you're the lad who beat me to it.

that's the first melbourne red saloon I've seen which attracted me to it. It looks very nice indeed

Anyway I'm sure you're gonna enjoy your first steps into an M car

Sorry stevie, all the sales guys were telling me it was generating a lot of interest, possible ploy but I actually doubt it!!! It's lovely by the way and upon my initial viewing they put it in the showroom for me the night before so was extra special the next day when I turned up and saw sitting inside rather than on the forecourt.

Spec hmmmm

- lci so has newer idrive with updated rear lights and much more on a 2008 plate (58) pretty rare id imagine
- loudspeaker professional
- edc
- dct
- 1owner
- single BMW garage for all previous service history over the last 26k miles
- black leather
- 18 inch alloys which I prefer
- cd changer

Probably more??? .. Can't wait lol

Had mine a couple of months now and it is as good as you imagine it will be. The noise is addictive; the blips on downchanges are also a great feature, drive everywhere with the windows down!

Enjoy!

Looks lovely mate and the 260m alloys are much better than the 19"s IMO

Lovely lovely car, in the best body shape too, the saloon is just a far more aggressive looking car than the coupe IMO.

Miss my Melbourne red E90 on a daily basis, never get another like it unfortunately.

Enjoy it.

I see your old one Martin quite a bit as it lives not that far from me...I haven't seen it clean yet though so the owner looks to have got it to use it rather than clean it so I suppose you cant say fairer than that but I did always enjoy looking at pics when you had it as you kept it looking really nice. smile

It does take a small amount of time getting used to all the buttons and settings at first but once you do and get comfortable with everything it is an absolutely fantastic car. Can't think of anything thing better suited to my needs at the moment apart from maybe a F80 M3.

Pressed the m button.... That was fun.... ok it was awesome and a little bit scary but I was smiling from ear to ear lol might go for another drive now!

It's been raining all day so will have to upload more pictures soon but below are those taken by the dealer ship.

Only annoying niggle is mine seems to be suffering from the bonnet, bumper and fender or wing alignment that so many do. When I looked at it last week I noticed the bonnet had an over bite on the bumper so got them to adjust it and whilst it's 95% there it's still not quite lined up when I took delivery today. Got a bit worried but stick this issue into google there are loads of posts that come up on m3 forums so sounds like a common and therefore crappy BMW build quality frown however the sound can make me live with it biggrin
