Come across the car a few times in my searches , do the rear wheels look dodgy ? Look very thin to me as thought they dont fill the rear arches.

It does appear to be two pairs of front wheels. It isn't right.

He has replaced the rear wheels with some front ones.

On the E46 the rear wheels have a bit of a 'dish' to them and these simply don't.

Looks like it's a set of the front wheels on the rear.

They usually have much more of a dish.

Maybe old ones got corroded which they are likely to do, and these were a cheap fix, or cheap copy.

Yes defo didnt look right to me. Also the picture from side on to me it looks as though the rear ones could be an inch smaller.

Yep have to agree, those look to narrow for the rear. Can't believe no one has mentioned the gopping interior either, vomit

It's got four Front wheels on it now there's a negotiating point if ever I saw one.

It's a walk away point for me.

That's a big oversight that anyone that knows and cares about the car would know. What else have they done on the cheap?

Exactly that's why I'd be looking at as a starting point check the car out thoroughly paint depth gauge diagnostic check get it up in the air have a look underneath.

I did this on a CLK63 I bought last year(it had the wrong wheels on) I found a few other things wrong with cheap lower arms etc it had specialist service history but the previous owner had been using cheap parts.
We agreed on a deal that was 3.4k lower than he wanted but that saving paid for the Poly bushes everywhere Eibach springs all new control arms a full service with all the fluids changed gearbox diff etc at my specialist & an exhuast, it didn't need one but I wanted a bit more noise & wanted a two pipe rather than the 4 pipe standard system.

4.6k later I've got the car I want that drives better than it did when it rolled out of the factory & I'm now just waiting for my alloys to arrive from the states, so it doesn't have to be a negative it's an honest car as it's telling you to take a closer look than you might have done had the right wheels been fitted.
