Key fob battery - CR2450
Discussion
Over the weekend the car kindly told me the key fob battery was low. Simple problem, should have been a simple fix.
Tried local supermarket, they didn't stock CR2450 batteries, so I resorted to Google and found that my local Maplin sold them. Nipped over there and bought a couple (1 for each fob) fully expecting that to be the end of the story however the car continued to tell me the key fob battery was low with the new batteries.
A bit more Google'ing and I found that you really need to stick with Panasonic CR2450 batteries (which these weren't) as it appears some other makes don't have enough "kick" to power BMW key fobs.
Ordered a couple of Panasonic CR2450s, fitted them, key fob now works perfectly!
So not all CR2450s are the same...it appears!
