What pads have folk used on their F10 M5's & what fluid? Assuming anyone has fitted aftermarket pads/fluid, does the cars OBC recognise the pad change & reset the 'change due'?

Do aftermarket pads have sensors that the BMW computer can utilise or does it not matter as the car will work it out for itself??

Thanks in advance

Just heard that Pagid possibly do F10 M5 fitment RS29's so if that's the case then the problem is solved as by far the best pads i've ever had on a carsmile

Only thing I would say about Pagid, is that I've heard they are great pads, but they will probably be harder on your discs so they won't last nearly as long.

My experience on an E46 M3 was that I put on OEM brand new discs, with Performance Friction brand new pads (I'd been advised they were the best). At the beginning they were incredible, the stopping power was immense. However, by the time I'd put a few miles on and the pads were worn, I needed new discs again! They were so hard on the discs that they were toast!

So my thoughts coming away from that were that the OEM discs and pads on any car are probably the best compromise, and whatever shortcomings and limitations they may carry are probably there for a reason. You can't have your cake and eat it, as I found out to my cost...

Have ordered a set of front & rear Pagid RS29's from the U.S. (couldn't find any in the UK). Got a good price of just over £500 delivered.

Will test them out over the Summer on the road & on track at Spa later in the year.
