Looking forward to collecting my (new to me) F10 M5 tomorrow. I found a lightly used medium specced one which slots nicely in with what I already have for a very reasonable price. Fingers crossed for a ripple free ride.

Wow amazing can't wait to get mine.... Looking at a frozen white 14 plate one at the moment with the competition pack... Hopefully within a week or 2 should make the move!

Drove one for the first time at the weekend, nearly ended up clipping a roundabout with it as I floored it off the roundabout and mate had been fiddling and put it in manual 2nd gear and it seems that you have to be quite careful with your assessment of when to put power down versus other cars as it is immediate and significant to say the least !

When we got back my heart was pounding, I used the words "bloody hell" every time I accelerated and 1) I don't normally swear and 2) If I was swearing it wouldn't be those words, it was pretty much involuntary. Only dissapointment for me is that it looks, particularly inside, a lot like a 5 series and I think it should be more special but I guess it is subtle and people who know, know.

Just been looking at M5s and saw this thread, the deal below seems very good to me for a 2014 model car when dealers seem to be trying to sell 2012/13 cars for 50k+?

Look forward to seeing photos etc. when you pick up!

I was the exact same when I test drove an m6. The acceleration is just intoxicating. I was literally laughing at how unreal the acceleration was and further to this I found the gearbox to be a masterpiece - I am quite sure there was some movement in my pants: the good type.

Fingers crossed I should get myself into an m5 and m6 after a little more hard work.

It's amazing how quickly you become used to the power yes

I'm not a driving god and will only drive it with traction etc. in full on mode, on anything other than a dry surface it want to go backwards yikes

In 1st flooring it the traction light is on through to third in dry conditions and in wet you just don;t have a chance, feathering the throttle is the only way to get going.

They had one in a decent colour and spec with low miles. Was going to go and have a look round it but it got snapped up very quickly!
