New Clutch and Flywheel E60 M5
Discussion
Much like "bedding in" brakes, a clutch needs time to wear in properly to raise the friction coefficient to what you were likely used to. This is the reason the clutch "kiss" point should be reset after a couple of thousand miles on a new clutch. As the clutch wears in, the old kiss point value (which is derived from friction during the adaptation process) doesn't make the "feel" quite right.
Just have the full SMG adaptation routine done again with ISTA/DIS/INPA and all will feel better.

ISTA/DIS/INPA ??Just have the full SMG adaptation routine done again with ISTA/DIS/INPA and all will feel better.

Three difference variants of BMW diagnostic software. Each can be used to run the poorly named SMG "adaptation" process. It should read "calibration" instead since there isn't a damn thing that "adapts" in the transmission.
Lol too technical for me... Way over my head... Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
