The rear tyres on my E92 M3 need replacing and having spent a week researching these are my choices (265/35/19) - prices include fitted.

Pirelli P Zero - £171 each

Michelin Pilot Super Sports - £210 each

Continental Sport Contact 6 - £196 each

Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 - £146 each

I know the MPSS is probably the best tyre but they are quite a bit more than the Pirelli. I'm just curious about the Hankook as it's had interesting reviews recently. Slightly put off by the Continental as some people say they wear quite quickly?

Any help in making a final decision would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Buy from Germany - www.tyreleader.co.uk

They'll be less than half that delivered.

I got 2 x 275/35/R19 100Y Dunlop SportMAXX for £120 each last week.

Premiyum brands like Pirelli and Dunlop staring at £105 delivered.

RWD M3... Michelin Pilot 2 or Michelin Pilot supersports.

Ive driven 80k miles in M3 or Z4M and wouldn't have anything but the above.

Of course you may not want to drive as hard as an M3 can go, but for peace of mind for me, it had to be the best Michelins.

I gave up on the Cup+ standard option after the second set. Not much use in cold temperatures.

The one thing not to compromise on is tyres!!!.

Go with the MSS

Conti's I found had less grip and harsher ride.(E46 M3), changed to MSP3

FAIK P Zeros were never OEM supplied.

MS Cup+ great in summer, not so great in winter. High wear rate on rears though. <8k

I'd say the PSS is the one that most people like. Not cheap but neither is bodywork repairs wink

Tyreleader are no cheaper than Blackcircles for Pilot Super Sports at 265/35/ R19 98Y that the M3 needs once you consider fitment & balancing. I am in the same position as the OP but considering the MPSS is the best-rated tyre for basically every category and is more durable than the rest, it's a worthy investment.

My alternative was SportContact 6 but they're only slightly cheaper.

Decision made on the Michelin Pilot Super Sport I think, after reading all the reviews and recommendations!

They're £190 on Camskill!

Having just been shocked by the price of tyres at f1 centres see how much they are on there, I have been using camskill and tyreleader for a couple of years, seems the f1 centres and quick fit are trying to get people back to them

Just ordered a set of pilot supersports from camskil myself for my R8. Had them on my GTR and they are a fantastic all round tyre and I would say definitely worth the extra £100 or so extra it will cost over a set of something else.
