Hi,

I have an X6 M50d and wanted to buy a boot tray for it.

The BMW part number for the rigid tray with higher sidewalls is 51-47-0-440-763.

However, the local dealer is saying that it isn't compatible with the car.

Does anyone know if the boot space of 50d is a different size/shape to the other models in the X6 range ?

The dealer is reluctant to order the part in case it won't fit as it is a special order item and can't be returned.

Thanks in advance for any views.

Have you tried Roofbox.co.uk? They stock a couple for the X6 and should certainly be able to answer your question.

If they have one, I would strongly recommend the Carbox version. I've had them for a number of cars, 5 series, Qashqai, SLK, Hyundai iX35, C Class. Perfect fit every time, very well made and worth their cost several times over.

Not the cheapest but cheaper than OE and better IME.

Thanks. Just had a look. Good idea but ideally I wanted something with a taller edge, roofbox only had ones with a 3.5cm lip around the edges.

BMW GB came back to the dealer but they said it is due to the fact our car has the load space system as an option. Guessing this means it may not sit flat due to the small push button stops.

Tempted to order anyway, and see what happens... For lack of any other alternative!

Thanks for your suggestion!
