Hi All

Just upgraded from a 640 to an M5 (is it "an" or "a"), anyway had it for 5 days now, just over 300 miles running in and loving every minute. Just wanted to say hi!

Oh that's lovely, congratulations!

And it's definitely "an" M5, rather than "a" M5.....one of my pet hates that!

640i or 640d? Will be interested to hear a comparison, once the running in service has been done of course smile

What's the spec?

Nice!

Is that Space Grey? Pretty rare colour on an M5.

Looking at the M4 tyre thread what tyres did it come with? Mine is due on 1st March and am hoping for MPSS....

Thanks everyone, it is Space Grey and it makes it look pretty mean imo!

It was a stock car which I haggled heavily with the dealer and got a damn fine deal with 0% Apr as well. The car is well specced includes multifunction seats, privacy glass, folding rears, power boot, safety pack including all round view, top down view, lane change assist thingy (can't remember the official terms) HK audio, sunroof, online music, electric sunblinds, 20" alloys. HUD, I think that's it!! Still finding little toys to play with.

Not sure on the tyres I'll pop out later and update you!

HUD and sunroof are standard items. You have a decent spec - the surround view, HK audio and multifunction seats are well worth having. The sunblinds are a nice touch too although I don't have them on the current car. Amazing cars in general - I'm 20k miles into mine now and still look forward to every journey.

Great to see another new beast out there... 6 days until my M4 arrives now.... SO EXCITED! Nice spec on the M5, you have the Adaptive LED Lights too which really freshen the front end of the F10 IMO.... I'm Intrigued about what tyres you got with it, I'm hoping I get the Super Sports and not the Continentals!!??

I can see myself asking them to swap the tyres over if it comes on Contis haha, especially when I've seen videos of how the MPSS was used in the development of the car etc!

Sorry been offline for a while, I have the Pirelli P-Zero on mine, on my 640D I fitted Goodyear they were quite good but they were Run Flat. Glad the M's don't come with run flat!

So far in my 500 miles of driving the M5 slowly (aside from the odd mad moment) I can honestly say I do not miss the 640D in the slightest. I thought I would but absolutely not. The M just seems to put a big smile on your face everytime you step in it!
