Evening all.

I've just bought a brand spanky new 2016 M3 to replace my old Porsche 928 (an unusual jump I know).
The Porsche was insured under a classic policy which didn't accumulate NCB discount which leaves me with a bit of an issue as I'm sure you can see.
Being forty (cough cough) something, it isn't the end of the world but can anyone suggest an insurance company that look favourably on the M cars and won't crucify me.

Thanks

I've used these guys for the last two renewals as they came out better for me (e46 M3, 40, central Brum, 5+ NCB) both times. Small discount for being a user at m3cutters too.

http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/

No idea how they do on new models though.

That's great thanks, I'll give them a ring tomorrow.
Adrian Fux seems to be recommended on M3cutters so I'll give them a try as well.

Flux wouldn't cover my E93 M3, so I wouldn't hold your breath. (Nearly 40, 13yrs ncb, Solihull)

In fact , Flux are a headache of the highest order....

That's a bit of a blow. I thought they advertised or sponsored something on M3cutters website so would be a good bet.
I'll probably give them a ring anyway and see what they say.

Have an F80 M3 and Exige V6 insured with NFU Mutual.

Worth a call.

A decent broker may also be able to do something about your NCB too if you have claim free years.

I have used a mix of Admiral, Bell Direct, and Elephant for my M3 for years, never had any issues.

For the lack of NCD they might be able to use some form of driving proof from the classic insurer, so worth a call.

I guess whatever you do it'll be a massive hike due to 928 being classic, and also less Value, and far less risky.

Bit of a result, RH Specialist Insurance who previously insured my 928 have come up trumps.
They worked a bit of magic with the NCB issue and came in at £670ish.
Just looking forward to picking the beast up on Friday now.

Thanks to everybody who posted.

Certainly a bit of a jump. £213 for the 928 to £670 for the M3.
Hopefully I'll clock up considerably more miles in the M3, I only managed 300 miles in the 928 last year so mile for mile the M3 will still be better value.
