Just wondering on what people's thoughts are on Seprang Bronze?

I saw an Z4M R on the road yesterday and must admit it looked a bit tasty in this colour

I've always seen car adverts with these colours and switched off when I saw 'Bronze' in the title - largely from preconceptions about cars like gold, bronze. platinum etc being a marmite colour and one I's always struggle to sell on when bored (this is quite frequent with me)

Sooo, would you ever take the plunge with Seprang or always struggle with the fear on getting stuck with it?

Loved it since I saw an E60 M5 in it that had been freshly detailed.

My wife hated it though.

Think it looks great on the right car.
It really suits the MC and they seem to be pretty sought after in Sepang. Both are really rare in that colour.

Sepang is a lovely colour when seen in the metal, so different that the usual black and shades of grey that German cars usually come in (speaking as an owner of a Z4C in Sapphire Black!).

The thing is - is it a rare colour because few people liked it when new? Or did BMW limit how many were made? If it is the former, think about resale when it comes to selling it on...

Good points, however, forgive my ignorance but I thought the cars were painted and specced up to order??

I had a sepang bronze E60 M5.

It was definitely a marmite colour, even i loved it and hated it at the same time. It's a very light sensitive colour. In bright sunlight it looks amazing, on a gray rainy day it looks pretty poor.

Love it.

But I have owned 2 Phoenix Yellow cars which I loved, seemed to be universally despised......

I've only ever seen Sepang on the E60 M5 and I'm not keen on it myself. When buying a car if I like the colour that's all that matters to me.

The first M I went out in a ride in was Sepang. Absolutely love the colour. I ended up with an Imola for some reason.

There is one for sale on fleabay in bronze I spotted the other night. Looked utterly stunning and the advert said there were on 10 UK cars in this colour....

Would be my first choice for a Z4M

That one for 14.5k - new engine and not serviced since 2010?

I saw that advert and quickly moved on

Kinell; that's only recently been added. When i first saw it then it was up at 18500 as a mintbox.

It's worth about 9k tops.

I haven't seen any Z4M coupes up at less than £12k in the last couple of years, even CAT registered cars. As we know asking prices aren't always sale prices though.
Could be worth a punt at around that price after a good check over of the chassis. Do an inspection 2 and rod bearing replacement straight away for piece of mind then use and enjoy without worrying about devaluing it.

Sepang is a colour best saved for the interior imo! I have. Midnight blue z4mc with sepang interior and it's lovely
