Buying M6 with a replacement engine - warranty options

Hi,
I am looking at a BMW M6 2005 in a private sale. The car has 96k on the clock and the current owner had the engine replaced (with a 35k mile engine) after the Engine bottom end bearings/rod bearings failed. The engine is no longer under warranty from the place it was purchased from.
I want some form of peace of mind if I was to buy the car, in the way of a warranty on the car/engine. Does anyone know warranties are available under these circumstances?

I've never bought a car or had a car with a replacement engine so this is new territory for me. I only know enough to check common problems have been addressed (after researching what common problems there may be on 2005 M6's).
Any advice on what to look out for in addition to:
- clutch and fly wheel replacement
- throttle actuators (either one or both..)
- tracker wearing the battery down
- VANOS oil pump replacement/VANOS problems rectified

But again I'm no expert on this engine so perhaps the OP should discuss with a specialist BMW garage to discover the extent of what is considered to be preventative maintenance.
I was going to buy an F10 M5 next but there's some concern over the potential for the oil pressure to cause spun crank to con rod bearings...

I read a suggestion somewhere, that a BMW garage or specialist carries out a check on the car before it is purchased. Look at the diagnostics, to see if any fault codes are in the history and a clutch and gear box check.
Any other checks to do with the VANOS or bottom end bearings. Could any issues be picked up in the state of the oil or would an oil sample need to be sen somewhere else?
