Hi all,

I've seen that people seem to manage getting one road bike in the back of an F87 M2 (and allegedly two!) but then not much seems to suggest the same is possible in the F80 M3. Is the M2 boot bigger when the back seats are down or has a better opening aperture with the boot lid open?

Thanks,

The only way I'd go anywhere with our bikes in my F87 is with them on the roof! Not sure you'd get one, let alone 2 through the boot aperture, suspect those that carry inside get them in through the doors, wheels off, no mudguards.

I owned an F series M240 and now own an F82 M4 so somewhat comparable, the boot on the F82 is much bigger than the M240, both width and depth I would say.

Not sure if folding seats are an extra on the M3 but I believe it’s a standard feature. My M4 certainly has folding seats

Thanks. Sounding like they’re unlikely to work well with being a keen regular cyclist.

Sorry I now realise I had misread and thought the responses indicated the F80 M3 would also be too small for road bikes. Is this the case?
