E39 M5's - Parking sensors

Hey all

Anyone know if the E39 M5 had rear parking sensors fitted as standard or were they an option.

Friend is looking at a 2000 plate car and to our surprise it doesn't seem to have any.

They were an option. Started with front + rear having to be specified, facelifted ones you either had it, or you didnt.

Buy aftermarket ones. Better quality now than in 2001, and a variety of interior display / audio options now available too.
