Smaller Steering Wheel?

I currently have a 365mm Momo wheel, looking to swap for a 320mm one. Other than that it just needs to feel 'nice' & be reasonably durable. What do you recommend & from where?

I've dot the dished jobbie off rally design, is cheapie Alcantara & not great with everyday wear but is a cracking wheel for the mx5, clears my tall fella knees a treat- no pic of it in my 5 but is the same wheel in my track porker-

I've got a 320mm Momo wheel on mine. I bought a 300mm OMP wheel which feels nice but just too small for me. Felt like I was driving a fisher price car.

If you get a dished one; bear in mind that reaching the indicators can be a bit troublesome!

Folks, what is the law on air bags?

I always thought that if the vehicle came with one, which mine did, you have to replace like for like.

I'm struggling to find a suitable wheel with an air bag.

What has everyone else done? Do you all have pre-airbag law cars or is my assumption on the law way off?

if an airbag light is on it will fail its MOT. however if said airbag light has been blanked out how will the tester ever know it had an airbag?

320mm momo jet. nice wheel, well made and smaller size suits the car and gives you more room for the legs. can't see indicators too well but that's the only downside.

I have an old an' tatty Momo race wheel. It feels great & I really enjoy it. The down side of a smaller wheel, for me, is that I can't see the top half of the tacho or speedo.

The problem i have seen is smaller the steering wheel, harder to see the gauges. this then depends on what you are buying it for. road use may be helpfull to have a normal size wheel to see what speed your going, especially for the heavy footed. track day slightly smaller wheel may give you better movement but you will have to use your ear to remember to change gear.

best thing is to try it and see if you like it. it will be completly person preferences

Fitted for the extra knee clearance. Makes seeing the clocks tricky tho!

Not sure how folks get on with dished wheels. Doesn't it force the wheel too close to the upper body?

Perfectly fine in mine.. Only about 2 inches closer to you really. I was actually thinking of getting another inch spacer, or maybe a quick release boss as they're abit bigger than the normal bosses.
