Eventful day today...I started fitting some braided hoses (Goodrich ones) and after getting sore knees and a sore back, got the first one on. Unfortunately, I was unable to replace the spring clip that fixes the flexible hose to the fixed lines. Is this serious? Should I replace the original hoses and send back the kit? Or should I leave the spring clip off and not worry about it.

Secondly, I found a decent sized nail sticking out of the inside edge of my nearside front tyre...Looks like it had been there a while! Any recommendations on some new boots? Thats what I'll be googling this evening...

brake clip...
It is not in the body bracket correct, at the hose end there is a slight curve which needs to sit in the bracket correct to fit flush for the clip to slid in to lock it in place.

Yes, it fixes the hose to the bracket connected to the body. I am a little concerned about nasty vibration if it can move around a tiny bit. Tempted to take a dremel to it...
