There were also a few fiberglass kits sold to convert the drop top and boot to a coupe, but I've never seen them in the 'glass.
I think someone on Nutz built his own as well?
I think I've seen that. Was it someone called Roland?I think someone on Nutz built his own as well?
There is a kit to turn an MX5 into a mini Aston lookalike.

Elise inspired but perhaps more practical and comfortable to DD.

Why do people insist on over-wheeling MX5 sized cars?! That would probably look OK if it was lower and on 14/15s, instead they've chucked massive 16/17s on it and it looks like a fookin monster truck! These are my favs so far MEVX5:

look absolutely fine to me as does the ride height. The biggest problem with that car is that it looks like the aspect ratio of the picture is wrong i.e. too tall & narrow. An Elise is a low, wide, lightweight looking car whereas that looks tall fat & overweight.
That and it's trying to look like an Elise. If you're going to make a coupe body to stick on the MX5, at least be original.Every forum I've seen that MEV posted on has been negative about it. I wonder if the 'designer' has cottoned on yet....
