Very rare and very expensive.
Are there any in the UK?

I've never seen one in the UK. Only in pictures online. Would love to see one though!

I love the look of these, never seen one over here. I think they are pretty rare in Japan as well?

Bet it would cost a fair bit to get hold of one!

I think there was a topic on here about this with the answer to that question a few months ago. Although I can't remember the answer and don't have time to search at the moment... getmecoat

I think a couple were imported here. I've never seen one though.

I've seen them for sale a few years ago in Japan. I might be completely wrong but I thought there were about 200 built.

They were produced, and I've seen adverts to buy in Japan.

Personally I think they look ace, but then you lose the roof down action of the '5, which is one of it's character traits in my opinion.

There were also a few fiberglass kits sold to convert the drop top and boot to a coupe, but I've never seen them in the 'glass.
I think someone on Nutz built his own as well?

I think I've seen that. Was it someone called Roland?
There is a kit to turn an MX5 into a mini Aston lookalike.

I think MX-5 coupes look great!

These are my favs so far MEVX5:

Elise inspired but perhaps more practical and comfortable to DD.

Sorry but I think that looks a bit pants. A fat Elise.

Why do people insist on over-wheeling MX5 sized cars?! That would probably look OK if it was lower and on 14/15s, instead they've chucked massive 16/17s on it and it looks like a fookin monster truck!

look absolutely fine to me as does the ride height. The biggest problem with that car is that it looks like the aspect ratio of the picture is wrong i.e. too tall & narrow. An Elise is a low, wide, lightweight looking car whereas that looks tall fat & overweight.

That and it's trying to look like an Elise. If you're going to make a coupe body to stick on the MX5, at least be original.

Every forum I've seen that MEV posted on has been negative about it. I wonder if the 'designer' has cottoned on yet....
