J & S Centre in Bury doing it again, prob £35 as it was last year. Been four times now.
Getting my hand brake tightened on saturday, had a new cable and caliper last year for mot. Only things im worried about, them banging the sills, the springs and shocks (dont thing they are gone). Been told sills are very good.

I will check the lights and seatbelts and wipers myself, fog light, hazards and get underside checked on saturday.

I hate mots its so nerve wracking. And my car is used every day to work and pleasure and i try to look after her.

Also another question, I know mnay mx5 owners use copper grease on their wheel nut threads, but only a light smearing. Mine have been done like that for years.

Why are some people afraid of copper grease.

Yep, on the hubs.

If you don't.. Your wheel will corrode to the hub and you'll never get it off at the side of the road if you needed to.

Whos afraid of it?

my brother. thinks because its grease it wont torque correctly to the thread. But mine have had it on four years, only needs a slither of it when the wheels are removed.

Ive seen mazdamender trying to remove wishbones and more things under the wheel arches from owners cars and had to snap the bolts off or crack them to get them to move because they have not been lightly coppered.

My technicians at work are fine using it and they've over 100 years between them, if it was dodgy they'd not use it. I'm sure nearly everyone uses it on hubs.

Its unsightly, definitely not the best looking stuff.
