Clutch problem (hopefully minor)

Hope somebody can advise/help

Right when i start my car up i can hear a squeaking/squealing which disapears when i depress the clutch.

It also squeals when im driving in gear but when i dont have my feet on any pedals and goes again when i depress the clutch or accelerate (perhaps that just masks the sound however)..

Any ideas? Im thinking either the slave or master cylinder is duff..

First thought was clutch release bearing..

I didnt want to do my usual and fix everything else before i fixed the problem
