Mk2 RS - different internals or just higher red line?

Does anyone know the if the Mk2 RS has different internals, or mapping to justify its higher (7500rpm) red line? Or even what the rev limit is for the RS and a standard 1.8i?

Has a slightly different intake cam, and a rubber dampner on the throttle body but other than that is identical to other MK2 engines - barring the ECU change to allow the higher redline.
